Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. As the Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the Nepean Cancer Services electronic Medical Record (eMR) and associated clinical information systems. Working closely with clinical teams, ICT stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, you will ensure reliable, efficient, and innovative technology solutions that support cancer services across the district.

What you will bring to the role

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in a complex ICT or health systems environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the support, administration, and optimisation of an Oncology Information System, electronic Medical Record, or comparable clinical application within a healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to analyse business processes and end-user requirements, and translate these into functional and technical specifications to enhance existing systems or deliver new solutions aligned to clinical and operational needs.
- Extensive experience providing specialist application and database support (including SQL Server or equivalent), with strong diagnostic, troubleshooting,



and problem-resolution skills in high-availability setting.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to clearly convey complex technical issues, risks, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, vendors, and senior executives.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating and delivering staff training, in-service programs, or other education initiatives, with the ability to build user capability and support effective adoption of clinical systems.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary clinical teams and stakeholders, including the confidence to negotiate, influence, and advocate for solutions that support safe, high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and flexibly across sites, manage competing priorities, and maintain high standards of documentation and communication in a dynamic, service-critical environment.
