Australian Disability Support Services – McKinnon VIC
Australian Disability Support Services (ADSS) is an established disability, NDIS-accredited national services provider currently operating three locations in WA. As part of our continued growth, we are now expanding into Victoria , with an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our new team in McKinnon, VIC 3204 .
This is a full-time position and an excellent opportunity to join ADSS at an exciting stage of our Victorian expansion. You will have the opportunity to help shape our speech pathology services in Victoria, supported by an established multidisciplinary organisation.
As a Speech Pathologist with ADSS, you will provide high-quality, person-centred assessment and intervention to individuals with disability and communication needs. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other professionals to improve communication, independence, participation and quality of life.

As a Speech Pathologist with ADSS, you will provide high-quality, person-centred assessment and intervention to individuals with disability and communication needs. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other professionals to improve communication, independence, participation and quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech pathology assessments using appropriate standardised and non-standardised assessment tools
- Assess and support participants with speech, language, communication, fluency, voice and swallowing needs, within your scope of practice
- Develop individualised, person-centred therapy plans based on assessment findings, participant goals and functional needs
- Deliver evidence-based speech pathology interventions across a diverse participant population
- Monitor participant progress, regularly review outcomes and adapt intervention strategies as required
- Prepare high-quality clinical documentation, progress reports and recommendations for participants and relevant funding bodies
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, support workers and other health professionals
- Provide education, training and practical strategies to families, carers and support workers to promote the implementation of therapeutic goals in everyday environments
- Liaise with referrers, healthcare professionals, support coordinators and other stakeholders to facilitate coordinated care
- Contribute to the development of ADSS's speech pathology services as we establish and grow our Victorian operations
- Participate in clinical supervision, professional development and quality-improvement activities
- Maintain professional practice in accordance with Speech Pathology Australia standards, relevant legislation and organisational policies
What we're looking for
- A recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience working with people with disability, developmental or communication needs is highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches
- Strong clinical reasoning and a person-centred approach to service delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce high-quality clinical documentation and professional reports
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Current Working with Children Check , or willingness to obtain one
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check , or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Current driver's licence and access to reliable transport where community-based services are required
Desirable:
- Experience working within the NDIS or disability sector
- Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Experience supporting participants with complex communication needs
- Experience providing community-based or multidisciplinary services
