This is an exciting opportunity for a New Graduate Speech Pathologist to work in the busy and energetic Speech Pathology department of The Children's Hospital at Westmead from February to December 2027. We are looking for applicants who will complete their Speech Pathology degree at the end of 2026 and can demonstrate experience in the area of assessment and management of paediatric communication disorders. Experience in paediatric feeding is desirable.

What you'll be doing

The primary focus of the position is to provide a comprehensive Speech Pathology service to children,



young people and their families, referred from the relative clinical area. This includes the provision of assessment, management, and advocacy. The Speech Pathologist is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team and will be required to participate in clinical, educational and administrative activities that are required to provide an effective and effective Speech Pathology service.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Relevant experience managing paediatric patients with complex communication disorders eg phonological disorders, specific language impairment, ASD, and/or feeding disorders/dysphagia.
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload, work independently and to seek clinical advice as necessary and appropriate for safe clinical practice.
- Experience in quality improvement activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
