Position Overview: Alien Homes is a residential builder specialising in the design and construction of custom homes across South East Queensland. The company is committed to exceptional craftsmanship, innovative design solutions and delivering high-quality homes tailored to clients’ lifestyles. As a Building Supervisor at Alien Homes, you will be responsible for overseeing residential construction projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring quality workmanship, compliance and timely project delivery.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Coordinate and supervise day-to-day construction activities across custom residential building projects.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications and project schedules.
- Inspect completed works to ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards and company requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
- Identify construction issues,
defects or delays and implement corrective actions to minimise project impacts.
- Review construction drawings and specifications and provide guidance to site personnel where required.
- Monitor site safety practices and ensure compliance with
Work Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, inspections and project documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, certifiers and project stakeholders regarding construction progress and site matters.
- Assist with procurement planning, material deliveries and resource allocation to support productive project delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Building Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and project schedules.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to quality workmanship.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 – $95,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
