About Storm Support Services
Storm Support Services is an award-winning independent claims management business specialising in hail-damaged properties.
We assist property owners throughout the insurance claims process, from the initial assessment through to claim progression and resolution.
Our team works across assessing, claims management, administration and lead generation, with a strong focus on communication, accountability, integrity and achieving positive outcomes for our clients .
We’re continuing to grow and are looking for people who want to contribute,
improve and take genuine ownership of their role.
About the Role
As an Internal Claims Officer , you will manage a portfolio of active insurance claims and be responsible for keeping those claims progressing.
You will act as a key point of contact between the client, insurer and our internal team, ensuring actions are followed up, documentation is completed and claims do not unnecessarily stall.
Your day may involve speaking with a homeowner about the status of their claim, following up an insurer for an outstanding decision, coordinating documentation or inspections, reviewing claim progress in our CRM, and identifying what needs to happen next to move a file forward.
The role suits someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for outcomes rather than simply completing assigned administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of active property insurance claims
- Maintain regular and professional communication with clients throughout their claim
- Liaise with insurers, assessors, trades and internal departments
- Proactively follow up outstanding actions and insurer requirements
- Coordinate inspections, reports, quotes and supporting documentation where required
- Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records
- Identify stalled claims and take action to progress them
- Ensure follow-ups and claim activities are completed within expected timeframes
- Assist clients in understanding the claims process and next steps
- Work closely with internal management and assessment teams to resolve issues
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, compliance and customer service
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in insurance claims, claims management, insurance administration, property, construction or a similar client-focused environment will be highly regarded.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who demonstrates:
- Strong communication skills – confident speaking with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
- Organisation – able to manage a large number of active files and competing priorities
- Ownership – you follow things through rather than waiting to be reminded
- Attention to detail – accurate notes, documentation and follow-up matter
- Problem-solving ability – you look for the next action required to move a claim forward
- Confidence – comfortable having qualified and occasionally challenging conversations
- Technology skills – confident working with CRM systems and standard business software
- Teamwork – able to work collaboratively while remaining accountable for your own portfolio
- Attitude – ambitious, proactive, coachable and interested in developing professionally
Who This Role Will Suit
You’ll likely enjoy this role if you are someone who:
- Likes being busy and having responsibility
- Enjoys dealing with people and solving problems
- Gets satisfaction from progressing work through to completion
- Can remain organised when managing multiple priorities
- Wants clear expectations and accountability
- Prefers a fast-moving environment over a slow corporate setting
- Wants the opportunity to develop within a growing business
