Looking for an Experienced Excavator Operator to efficiently and effectively conduct excavation and earthmoving operations for a local civil engineering and earthmoving contractor based in Geelong.
Key responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections before operating machine to identify and report any maintenance or repairs required
Select, fit, and remove attachments such as buckets, augers, rock-breaker attachments, and slings
Excavation of earthworks inclusive of cut and fill operations, soil compaction and landscaping works
Trenching in the construction of gravity and pressure pipelines in accordance with plans and specifications
Comply with company policies including Protected Work Method Statements, OH&S; Policy, and Drug and Alcohol Policy
About you
Hold a certificate of competence by a Registered Training Organisation
Construction Induction (White) card
Valid Driver Licence
Strong attention to detail
3+ years of experience operating an excavator in the civil construction industry
Ability to apply knowledge of OH&S; requirements to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Knowledge and experience of local council sub-divisional standards and procedures
Knowledge and experience of local authorities including Power, Communications, Water and Gas
