Our client, The Furniture Trader, is currently seeking an experienced full time Retail Manager to oversee its retail operations. The position offers an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Located in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, The Furniture Trader is a family-owned furniture retailer offering an extensive range of well-designed, on-trend and high-quality furniture to its customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing furniture ranges, stock levels and customer service standards.
- Setting product pricing and coordinating purchasing and marketing activities.
- Promoting furniture collections, special offers and showroom products.
- Assisting customers with furniture selection, features and product suitability.
- Maintaining accurate stock,
sales and financial transaction records.
- Preparing store budgets and monitoring operating costs and sales performance.
- Recruiting, training, rostering and supervising retail staff.
- Ensuring showroom operations comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Managing furniture displays and maintaining an organised, appealing showroom.
- Monitoring sales trends and customer demand to support stock decisions.
- Coordinating customer orders, deliveries, returns and after-sales enquiries.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a Retail Manager in Australia.
Note: Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
