We are currently seeking an Electrician (Rail Signalling) to work within our Western Australian Signalling and Communications Team, based in the Pilbara, WA. This role will be reporting to the Electrical Supervisor and will be Pilbara based on a 2/1 roster. (Perth as a point of hire).

What you will do

Signal Electricians are responsible for the installation and removal of power/signal cable and wiring of infrastructure in the rail corridor including but not limited to:

- Termination of train stop disconnection boxes and equipment
- Termination of points disconnection boxes and equipment
- Termination of main aspect and subsidiary signals
- Termination of location cases
- Termination of signalling bungalow equipment
- Termination of track circuit equipment
- Jointing of cables
- Assist with testing
- Work closely with Signal Mechanics who are responsible for the installation of signalling infrastructure

- Fabrication and termination hand skills
- Safe operation of electrical tooling
- Comprehension of electrical drawings/layouts
- Team orientated and ability to work autonomously as required
- Willingness to adapt and learn
- Flexibility of working times
- Explicit and concise communication skills (written and oral)
- Importance on safety, quality, time and stock management
- Reliable and prompt
