Murgon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its ward team on a four-week contract starting 12 October 2026. Based in Murgon, Queensland, this role offers the chance to work in a rural healthcare setting where clinical skills and teamwork are essential. You'll be working up to 80 hours per fortnight, with on-call availability as part of the position, and the opportunity to make a real difference in a close-knit clinical environment.

- Four-week contract role in a rural hospital setting with on-call requirements
- Work across the wards with scope to lead and support your clinical team
- Develop and apply advanced clinical skills including triage, cannulation, and emergency response

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in triage and emergency nursing
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Competence in cannulation and other core clinical procedures
- Experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings
- Proven ability to work as a team leader and support colleagues in a fast-paced ward setting

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Additional qualifications or experience in emergency or critical care nursing
