The Opportunity

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a passionate HSEQ qualified to grow their career within a supportive and fast-paced construction environment. Reporting to the Senior HSEQ Manager, you will play a hands-on role in supporting our civil, transport infrastructure, and construction teams with the deployment and maintenance of safety, quality, and environmental protocols, documentation, and digital safety tools — ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 , and client-specific HSEQ requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of WHS policies, procedures, safe work method statements (SWMS), risk assessments, quality plans, and environmental management plans across active project sites
- Support the deployment and day-to-day administration of the BuildPass digital safety platform, including worker inductions, pre-qualifications, and compliance tracking
- Assist in maintaining and supporting the organisation's Integrated Management System (IMS) across the WHS, Quality, and Environmental streams in alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct site inspections, safety walks, quality hold point checks,



and environmental compliance monitoring alongside senior HSEQ personnel
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of toolbox talks, HSEQ inductions, and worker training sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSEQ documentation and records in accordance with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements and client obligations
- Support the investigation of incidents, near misses, non-conformances, hazards, and environmental observations , including contributing to corrective and preventive action (CAPA) registers
- Monitor and track HSEQ compliance obligations across project sites and assist with preparation of client-facing safety, quality, and environmental reports
- Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project teams to promote and reinforce a positive HSEQ culture
- Assist with internal and external HSEQ audits and inspections , including preparation of audit evidence and corrective action follow-up
- Support the identification and management of environmental risks , including waste management, erosion and sediment control, noise, and pollution prevention activities on site
- Assist in monitoring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), material conformance, and defect management
- Stay current with relevant WHS legislation, environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards applicable to civil and construction works

About You

Essential

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental Management, or a related discipline (or currently working towards)
- A genuine passion for HSEQ and a commitment to continuous improvement across safety, quality, and environmental performance
- Understanding of, or exposure to, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and/or ISO 14001 management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels
- High attention to detail and strong organisational and administrative skills




- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Current driver's licence

Desirable

- Experience with or exposure to BuildPass or similar digital safety and compliance management platforms (e.g., Hammertech, Procore, Donesafe)
- Prior experience or exposure to civil, transport infrastructure, or construction environments
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal WHS and environmental legislation and codes of practice
- Working knowledge of SWMS, JSAs, ITPs, environmental management plans, and site-specific HSEQ plans
- Familiarity with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and non-conformance reporting
- White Card (General Construction Induction)

- $85,000 – $100,000 per annum package, negotiated individually

Remuneration

The remuneration package for this role falls within a range of $85,000 to $100,000 per annum (package) . Rapid Construction Pty Limited recognises that every candidate brings a unique combination of skills, experience, industry tenure, qualifications, and knowledge to the table. As such, the precise remuneration structure — including base salary, superannuation, vehicle allowances, and any additional benefits — will be individually negotiated with the successful applicant. The final package offered will be determined in valuable faith and will reflect the successful candidate's demonstrated competencies, professional background, and overall suitability for the role.
