We are seeking an experienced, proactive and hands-on Night Shift Warehouse Manager to join our fast-paced food distribution operation.

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the night warehouse team and ensuring all stock is accurately picked, checked, loaded and dispatched, with our drivers leaving on time and ready for the day ahead.

The Role

As the Night Shift Warehouse Manager, you will take ownership of the nightly warehouse operation, leading the team to ensure orders are picked accurately, delivery vehicles are loaded efficiently and all stock is accounted for before dispatch.

You will work closely with the Day Shift Warehouse Manager and Logistics Manager , providing a detailed handover to ensure a smooth transition between shifts and that any issues are communicated and resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all nightly warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging and dispatch

Lead and manage the night shift warehouse team, promoting a positive, productive and team-focused environment

Ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded accurately, safely and on time

Maintain a minimum 99% loading and stock accuracy

Ensure stock is correctly checked and accounted for before trucks leave the warehouse

Ensure all warehouse activities comply with food safety, hygiene and cold-chain requirements

Manage inventory accuracy, stock rotation, expiry dates and regular stocktakes

Monitor and maintain warehouse organisation, cleanliness and safety standards

Conduct regular checks of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and temperature-controlled storage

Identify and report maintenance or equipment issues promptly





Monitor key performance indicators including order accuracy, picking efficiency, dispatch times and wastage

Lead, mentor and support warehouse staff to achieve daily operational targets

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity

Complete a comprehensive handover to the Day Shift Warehouse Manager / Logistics Manager

Ensure all workplace health and safety procedures are followed at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role , preferably within food distribution, FMCG or logistics

Has strong leadership and people-management skills

Is highly organised and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right

Understands the importance of stock accuracy, food safety and cold-chain management

Has a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach

Can motivate a team and hold staff accountable to high standards

Is reliable, punctual and takes ownership of their responsibilities

Has strong communication skills and can provide clear shift handovers

Holds a current forklift licence or is willing to obtain one

Is committed to maintaining a safe, clean and productive workplace
