JFK Interiors is a well-established commercial interior fit-out and architectural joinery company based in Campbellfield.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Wood Machinist to join our production team.
This is a hands-on factory role suited to someone with experience in cabinet making, architectural joinery or commercial joinery production who takes pride in producing accurate, quality work and keeping jobs moving through the factory.
The Role
Working as part of our production team, you will be responsible for:
- Operating CNC and other woodworking machinery
- Setting up machinery and selecting or loading required programs
- Machining components accurately to drawings and production requirements
- Checking materials and finished components for quality and accuracy
- Identifying and reporting measurement, material or machining issues
- Carrying out basic fault finding where required
- Meeting production deadlines and maintaining a positive level of output
- Working closely with the Factory Foreman and production team
- Maintaining machinery, equipment and your work area
- Following all company safety procedures and production standards
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a CNC Machinist, Wood Machinist or within cabinet making/joinery production
- Has experience with woodworking machinery
- Can read drawings, dimensions and production information accurately
- Has good attention to detail
- Takes responsibility for the quality of their own work
- Can identify problems before they become bigger problems
- Works well within a team
- Is reliable and punctual
- Has a practical, hands-on approach
- Understands the importance of productivity, quality and deadlines
The Person We Are Looking For
Experience is important, but so is attitude.
We want someone who can come into the factory, get on with the job and take some ownership of what they are producing.
You need to be reliable, work accurately and understand that poor machining creates problems further down the production line.
