ACCIONA's Mechanical & Electrical team supports major civil, water and industrial infrastructure works across Melbourne. The workshop fabricates structural steel, pipework and mechanical components that support construction and maintenance programs. Work may extend to local sites with a focus on protected delivery and reliable workmanship. The team values precision and practical problem solving.
About the Opportunity
As a Mechanical Fitter,
you will carry out maintenance work across Melbourne sites and at our Port Melbourne workshop. You'll install equipment on project sites, including work at height, and keep existing plant and equipment running well. You'll work alongside a skilled team who value quality and safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Install and maintain heavy metal structures and pipework
- Fit and assemble mechanical components to spec
- Read technical drawings and specifications
- Use precision tools to measure and check work
- Maintain and troubleshoot plant and equipment
- Work safely at heights, on scaffolds and in confined spaces
- Follow WHS rules to keep yourself and others safe
Qualifications and Competencies
- Certificate III in Engineering, Mechanical Trade
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience
- High-Risk Work Licence (EWP) an advantage
