McArthur is recruiting two APS5 Investigations Officers for a major Commonwealth Government regulatory agency in Canberra.
This opportunity will suit investigators, regulatory officers and compliance professionals who enjoy analysing evidence, identifying risk and preparing clear, defensible advice.
The opportunity
You will support risk-based investigations into potential legislative non-compliance.
Your work will include gathering, analysing and documenting information; reviewing documents and financial information for gaps or inconsistencies; analysing data and intelligence to identify high-risk behaviour and potential non-compliance; and preparing briefs, reports and correspondence for decision-makers.
We will place particular emphasis on evidence analysis, data and intelligence, risk identification and high-quality written investigation outputs. A Certificate IV in Government Investigations is highly desirable , although candidates with solid relevant investigation experience are also encouraged to apply.
About you
We would like to hear from candidates with recent experience in areas such as:
regulatory investigations; fraud or integrity; compliance and enforcement; government investigations; intelligence-led compliance; financial investigations; serious incident assessment; or evidence-based regulatory casework.
Previous APS investigation experience will be highly regarded.
The strongest candidates will be able to demonstrate a recent investigation or regulatory matter they personally worked on , including the evidence they assessed, relevant legislation or framework, their own analysis and the resulting recommendation or outcome.

$82,336-$90,234 + 15.4% superannuation

Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Baseline security clearance and complete required pre-employment screening.
