Lancasters Electrical is an electrical contracting, switchboard manufacturing and industrial automation business with bases on the Gold Coast and in Sumner, Brisbane. We deliver electrical and control projects across commercial, industrial, water and wastewater sites throughout Queensland, from new builds and upgrades through to ongoing maintenance.

Our Sumner base has a growing pipeline of construction work, and we're looking for an electrician who's confident running installations on site.

The role

Your focus will be construction, supported by maintenance work between projects. You'll be:

Installing cable tray, conduit, ladder and containment

Pulling, terminating and testing power, control and data cabling

Installing and connecting switchboards, control panels and field equipment

Commercial fit-outs, new builds and upgrade works

Pump station and water/wastewater site construction and upgrades

Reading drawings and setting out installations to spec

Testing, verification and commissioning support

Completing ITPs, test sheets and compliance paperwork

Working safely on active construction sites alongside other trades

Maintenance and fault-finding work as required

About you





Current Queensland Open Electrical Licence (essential)

Current driver's licence and white card (essential)

Solid commercial or industrial construction experience

Confident reading electrical drawings and working to specifications

Organised and able to run your own work area with minimal supervision

Comfortable on site with builders, head contractors and other trades

Neat, compliant workmanship and a strong safety focus

Highly regarded

Industrial, infrastructure or water/wastewater construction experience

Switchboard, MCC or control panel installation

Experience leading an apprentice or small crew

ACMA cabling registration

Hazardous areas competency

EWP, working at heights or confined spaces tickets

Some sites require a criminal history check, so you'll need to be able to pass one.
