We are a 20-place preschool with robust connections to our local community and primary schools. We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education while supporting children and families as they transition to school.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor to lead our small and dedicated team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher to take on a leadership role within our community preschool.

An Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification is preferred; however, we welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are interested in taking on a Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor role.

The position operates across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday preschool days, plus one additional administration/office day each week, generally 8:00am – 3:30pm.

The successful applicant will provide solid educational and operational leadership while working closely with educators, children, families and the Management Committee.

The role includes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the preschool and the delivery of high-quality education and care in accordance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, EYLF and Education and Care Services National Regulations.

- Oversee the development, implementation and review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), in consultation with educators, families, the Committee and the wider community.
- Lead and coordinate the preschool’s Assessment and Rating (A&R;) process.

- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and other relevant requirements.
- Support staff through effective communication, supervision, mentoring and professional development.
- Manage staffing and rosters to ensure appropriate ratios and qualification requirements are maintained.
- Support a positive, collaborative and respectful workplace.
- Build strong relationships with children, families and the local community.
- Support transition programs and relationships with local primary schools.
- Maintain strong child protection, health, safety and wellbeing practices.
- Oversee enrolments, attendance, administration and day-to-day operational matters.
- Work collaboratively with the Management Committee and provide relevant information, advice and reports.
- Assist with budget and financial management alongside the Management Committee.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and child-centred setting.
- Represent and promote Yeoval Preschool within the local community.

About You

We are looking for someone who:
