The Role
As part of our Technical Maintenance team, you’ll respond to mechanical breakdowns, carry out repairs and complete planned preventative maintenance to support reliable production.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving practical problems and working closely with production teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery and equipment.
Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests, restoring equipment safely and minimising production downtime.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing and equipment inspections.
Identify worn or damaged components and carry out repairs or replacements within your trade capability.
Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
Work with production and maintenance colleagues to prioritise repairs and coordinate maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, faults and repairs.
Follow safe work practices, equipment isolation and site safety procedures.
Carry out work in accordance with food manufacturing hygiene and food safety requirements.
Support other maintenance team members when required.
What You Bring
A recognised trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner, Machinist or Mechanic , with relevant industrial maintenance experience.
At least two years’ experience in an industrial or factory environment , maintaining machinery and equipment.
Solid mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance.
A practical approach to solving problems and a commitment to safe work practices.
The ability to work independently and communicate clearly with maintenance and production teams.
A cooperative approach and willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment.
Availability to work the 6am–6pm rotating roster.
Experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Technician in manufacturing will be highly regarded.
Applicants must have work rights that allow them to work the advertised roster without ongoing restrictions.
