About the Role

We are currently seeking a Cook to join the hospitality team at Mareeba Gardens QLD

In this role, you will assist with preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently and in line with residents' dietary requirements.

As a Full time Cook, you will:

Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with planned menus and dietary requirements

Ensure meals are presented to a high standard and served on time

Maintain food safety and infection control standards

Assist with special dietary and texture-modified meal preparation





Support stock control and minimise food waste

Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment

Work collaboratively with the care team to support resident wellbeing

Provide flexible coverage across a casual roster, including weekends and leave relief

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous cooking experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitality

Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices

A Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Solid time management and organisational skills

A positive, team-focused attitude

A genuine passion for supporting older Australians

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends

A valid NDIS worker Screen check (or willingness to obtain one)

*The successful candidate will receive a base salary between the range of $79,000 - $85,000.
