The purpose of this role is to provide assistance to ensure day-to-day efficiency with the overall aim of achieving business objectives. You will be required to assist the service function of the business in achieving operational effectiveness in line with business requirements.
Key responsibilities
Ensure delivery of safe, person-centred, evidence-based clinical care in accordance with professional standards and best practice
Lead clinical governance systems, including clinical risk management, incident review, and continuous improvement
Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes to support quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with scope of practice and medication management standards
Ensure all clinical practices comply with Aged Care Quality Standards, Commonwealth and State legislation, NDIS standards, and professional registration requirements
Prepare for and support accreditation assessments, audits, and quality reviews
Oversee holistic assessment, care planning, and review processes
Ensure individualised care plans reflect participant's needs, goals, and preferences
Provide professional leadership and clinical supervision to nursing and care staff
Lead clinical risk assessment and mitigation strategies
About you
Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration (desirable)
Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Health Management, or a related clinical discipline (desirable)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
Robust clinical leadership and professional judgement skills
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including engagement with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Demonstrated experience in a clinical leadership or management role (e.g., Care Manager, Clinical Lead, RN in Charge)
Proven experience managing complex clinical care, including chronic disease, dementia, palliative care, and end-of-life support
