The business has built a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial HVAC projects throughout Victoria, with a stable pipeline of work and a long-standing presence within the industry.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an HVAC Estimator to their team.

The Opportunity

This role would suit either an experienced HVAC Estimator looking to take on a broader range of commercial projects, or an experienced HVAC tradesperson who is ready to make the move from the tools into an office-based estimating role.

Current projects typically range from approximately $500k to $5 million , providing exposure to a variety of commercial HVAC projects and clients.
You will work closely with the estimating, project management and construction teams to develop competitive and accurate tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare estimates and tenders for commercial HVAC projects
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Complete material, labour and subcontractor take-offs
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assist with scope reviews and identifying project requirements
- Prepare accurate and competitive pricing
- Work closely with Project Managers and the wider construction team
- Maintain estimating records and tender documentation
- Assist with the handover of successful projects to the delivery team

What We're Looking For

Option 1 – Experienced Estimator

- 2+ years' experience estimating HVAC/mechanical projects
- Commercial HVAC or mechanical services background
- Comfortable reading mechanical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of HVAC construction, materials and labour requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness

Option 2 – Trade to Estimating

- Qualified HVAC/Mechanical trade background
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC installation and project delivery
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Commercial project experience would be highly regarded
- Looking to transition from site/the tools into an office-based career

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a solid understanding of commercial HVAC and the desire to develop their estimating career .
