The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced People Partner who can step in quickly and provide confident, practical support to head office leaders. Starting ASAP and continuing through to Christmas, this temporary assignment combines hands‑on advice across the employee lifecycle with contributions to broader people initiatives. Working within the People Experience team, you’ll help managers navigate complex employee matters, build their leadership capability and support workforce and organisational change. You’ll bring sound judgement, strong relationship skills and the ability to keep priorities moving in a busy workplace.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing practical and strategic advice on performance, talent, capability and succession planning
- Supporting complex employee relations matters, including misconduct, investigations, grievances and conflict resolution
- Coaching managers to apply people policies consistently,



manage risk and achieve effective outcomes
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational design, skills gap analysis and redeployment
- Contributing to change initiatives and projects that improve people processes and services
- Interpreting legislation, awards and industrial agreements, and using workforce insights to inform recommendations
- Collaborating with People & Culture colleagues on employee relations, health, safety and wellbeing matters

About You

You’re an experienced HR Business Partner or People Partner who builds trust quickly and is comfortable guiding leaders through sensitive and complex situations. You combine strong employee relations expertise with a practical approach and can manage competing priorities confidently.

You’ll bring broad HR experience, a sound understanding of employment legislation and industrial instruments, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting organisational change and workforce planning will also be valuable. Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable, or you may bring significant experience in a similar role.
