AJS is a commercial cabinetry business looking for a capable, hands-on General Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations.

We want someone who can lead the team, keep jobs moving, solve problems and make decisions.

You’ll work closely with the owner and our team across production, estimating and administration, with the autonomy to make decisions and keep things running smoothly.

The Role

- Keep projects on track from drawings through to installation
- Make sure drawings, approvals and materials are organised on time
- Manage production and installation schedules
- Set priorities and goals for estimating, production and the factory
- Coordinate subcontract installers
- Lead, manage and recruit staff
- Make sure the team is doing what needs to be done
- Handle day-to-day calls and emails
- Deal with builders, site managers and suppliers
- Negotiate supplier pricing
- Manage defects and call-backs
- Monitor costs and project margins




- Solve problems and get things done

We use CABINET VISION. Experience is an advantage but not essential.

About You

Experience in c ommercial cabinetry, joinery, shopfitting, construction or a similar trade-based business is highly regarded.

You’ll be o rganised, practical and commercially minded, with the confidence to lead people and make decisions.

You may currently be a General Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or Production Managerready to step into a senior role.
