We are currently recruiting a Deputy Director of Nursing, who has relevant clinical and aged care experience to manage a 66 bed facility based in Albury. The successful applicant will assist the Facility Manager in the development and progression of high standards of clinical care delivery. We are looking for a person who can work in team environment and closely with the Facility Manager and other management staff

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Assisting in the effective operations of the service, directing & supervising care staff to ensure nursing practices and procedures are consistent with current legislation and organisational Policies
- Managing ACFI to ensure maximum potential of funding is achieved
- Developing staff clinical skills by way of mentoring, training, education and support
- Assist in the direction of clinical care, including coordinating with residents, families, directing and maintaining infection control, occupational health and safety and assisting in commonwealth government funding process




- Ensuring that education programs and quality improvement initiatives are implemented by staff so as to comply with the Accreditation Standards and Guidelines for Residential Care Services

Requirements

To be successful in your new role you will need to demonstrate:

- Nursing qualification specialising in Aged Care
- Minimum 5 years' experience in aged care and 2 years' experience in management in either residential or acute care hospitals.
- High level computer literacy
- Understanding and empathy with religious based service delivery
- Passionate regarding resident lifestyle and well being
- Strong skills in clinical assessments and care coordination
- Understanding of Accreditation requirements and quality improvement
- A professional attitude, dedicated team focus, and highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership and change management
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate services
- Robust skills to manage multidisciplinary team
- Have an excellent understanding of Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), continuous improvement, WH&S; and risk management
