Job Description
We are seeking SOC Analysts to join a high-performing Security Operations team supporting mission-critical defence and intelligence networks.
The role involves monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber security threats while contributing to the ongoing maturity of Security Operations capabilities. Working closely with engineers, threat intelligence specialists, stakeholders, and security authorities, you will play a key role in protecting sensitive environments from sophisticated cyber threats.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct threat detection, analysis, triage, and investigation activities
- Support vulnerability management processes and remediation efforts
- Contribute to Cyber Threat Intelligence activities
- Assist with SIEM, endpoint, network, and detection engineering initiatives
- Provide trusted cyber security advice to stakeholders
- Support the development of security operations requirements
- Participate in change reviews and security approvals
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external security stakeholders
- Contribute to the improvement of security operations processes, procedures, and reporting capabilities
Education / Certifications Required
Desirable certifications include:
- Security+
- GSEC
- GCIA
- GCIH
- CISSP
- CISM
- CCNA Security
- Microsoft Security Certifications
- Splunk Certifications
Knowledge / Skills Required
Junior-Level Candidates
- Approximately 2+ years' experience in cyber security operations, or
- 4+ years' experience in broader IT support, networking, cloud, endpoint, or gateway technologies
- Understanding of cyber security fundamentals
- Exposure to SIEM platforms and security tooling
- Scripting or coding experience highly regarded
Senior-Level Candidates
- 5-10+ years' experience across security operations functions
- Experience leading or maturing cyber security capabilities
- Strong understanding of incident response, detection engineering, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Previous experience supporting Defence, Intelligence, or Federal Government environments highly desirable
