Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in Windows, Linux and security hardening? We are seeking an experienced OS Hardening Engineer to support a large-scale initiative focused on improving the security posture of an enterprise server environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement CIS Benchmark Level 1 hardening standards across Windows and Linux server environments.
- Develop, update and test Puppet code to automate security configuration changes.
- Manage code changes through Git and GitHub pull requests.
- Assess the impact of security controls on applications and services.
- Troubleshoot issues relating to authentication, permissions, services, networking and logging.
- Support testing, validation and phased deployment activities.
- Document exceptions, testing outcomes and operational considerations.
Essential Criteria
- Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Hands-on Puppet experience, including roles and profiles, Hiera and code reviews.
- Practical Git/GitHub experience including branching, pull requests and version control.
- Previous experience delivering OS hardening, security uplift or server baseline projects.
- Solid troubleshooting capabilities across enterprise server environments.
