About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Sports Turf team as a Project Manager, based in the Greater Brisbane area and working on projects across Queensland.

You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering sports turf projects from initial scope through to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role covers all aspects of project delivery, including defining scope and methodology, programming works, coordinating labour, contractors, materials and equipment, managing customer relationships and overseeing project reporting and compliance.

You’ll work closely with customers, contractors, suppliers and teams across HG Turf Group to ensure projects are well planned, efficiently delivered and meet both customer and company expectations.

This role is ideal for an experienced turf qualified who is organised, adaptable and enjoys taking ownership of projects from planning through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, define and organise sports turf projects, including scope, specifications, methodology, resources, programs and budgets.
- Manage projects from planning through to completion,



ensuring works are delivered safely, in full, on time and within budget.
- Prepare quotations and assist with project costing and purchasing requirements.
- Coordinate labour, contractors, materials, machinery and equipment.
- Develop and maintain project programs and respond to changing site conditions and client requirements.
- Manage contractors, including engagement, inductions, licences, insurances and project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and toolbox meetings and ensure WHSE requirements are maintained.
- Ensure project quality standards, specifications and inspection requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates to internal teams and management.
- Work closely with Production, Sales, Logistics, Operations, Marketing and Finance to support successful project outcomes.
- Identify project issues early and proactively work through solutions.
- Support continuous improvement and the sharing of industry knowledge and best practice.

Qualifications, Experience & Industry Knowledge

- Qualification in turf management or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience within the natural and/or hybrid turf industry.
- Experience in project management and turf management.
- Strong understanding of warm and cool season turf grasses.
- Experience coordinating contractors, labour,



materials and machinery.
- Strong understanding of WHSE and quality requirements within project environments.
- Experience preparing project programs, quotations, reports and associated documentation.
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Good computer skills and confidence working with project and management systems.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Experience with hybrid turf systems would be highly regarded.
