As Operations Manager, you'll help coordinate and oversee NBN and telecommunications civil works across Adelaide and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time working with crews, helping organise jobs, checking progress, dealing with clients and making sure teams have what they need to get the work done safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Help manage and coordinate NBN and telecommunications crews
- Organise daily works, labour, plant and equipment
- Support Supervisors, Leading Hands and field crews
- Coordinate NBN civil construction activities
- Oversee pit and pipe installation, replacement and remediation
- Assist with excavation, trenching, backfilling and compaction
- Coordinate cable hauling and underground services
- Help manage plant, equipment and NDD activities
- Read and understand plans, drawings and Before You Dig Australia plans
- Keep jobs moving and help resolve issues as they come up
About you
- Experience in NBN, telecommunications or civil construction
- Experience working in the field with construction or telecommunications crews
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor, Crew Leader or similar
- Good understanding of excavation, trenching and civil construction
- Ability to read plans and drawings
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of workplace safety
- Current White Card
