What this opportunity involves:
In this role, you will serve as the primary operational lead on the ground for the Melbourne office while providing remote management oversight for a site in Auckland. You will lead a local team of three direct reports to ensure seamless workplace delivery.
You will be responsible for implementing operational and workplace experience processes-such as front-of-house services and maintenance-ensuring high-quality on-site support across both locations. Given the nature of these client sites, you will manage these operations within high-security compliance frameworks while ensuring a seamless, consistent service standard.
Additionally,
you will bridge regional operations by sourcing local vendors and building stakeholder relationships, while working within established Australian and Global structures and processes. You will be a highly experienced professional responsible for delivering exceptional facilities management, proactively monitoring and improving all portfolio operational activities. You'll be passionate about ensuring state-of-the-art site operations and effective in sourcing and managing high-performing vendors to support the operational vision. A keen eye for detail, the ability to think outside of the box, and exceptional stakeholder management skills will be essential for your success.
Key Responsibilities include:
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to implement strategies and projects that support operational success.
- Utilise advanced EQ and interpersonal skills to manage relationships effectively.
- Navigate a matrixed organization to balance stakeholder priorities and execute independently.
- Collaborate with HQ, peers, and vendors/partners/project peers (e.g., food, security, IT).
Operations & Reporting:
- Act as the on-site operational lead for the Melbourne office and provide remote leadership.
- Directly manage and mentor a team of 3 facilities team members.
- Implementing regional process & data related projects.
- Responsible for internal quality assurance audits.
- Support UX programs, technology roll-outs, and training, driving implementation and consistency.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports where required.
Sourcing & Vendor Management:
- Oversee vendor contracts to ensure professional delivery and value for money.
- Work closely with SCMP to ensure strategic sourcing initiatives are followed and JLL tools are utilised.
- Provide guidance on major sourcing/procurement activities.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure services are delivered per contract.

- Strong experience in large-scale Account/Portfolio Facilities Management within a multinational environment.
- Advanced interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of critical facilities environment management and vendor management for specialized services.
- Understanding of basic technical aspects of property (HVAC, fire protection, electrical, BMS).
- Strong budget management and financial analysis skills.
- Advanced system literacy and proficiency in managing daily activities using various systems.
- University degree or professional qualification in facilities management, hospitality, or business administration.
