The role requires one of two qualification pathways, including a bachelor degree in related fields or a master of social work, with additional qualifications or experience for pathway 2.

A Queensland Blue Card and a valid driver’s license are mandatory. CSOs will deliver statutory child protection services under the Child Protection Act 1999,
