Clinical Nurse - Child and Family Health
Join our Child and Family Health team supporting children and families across Kingaroy and the South Burnett region. In this rewarding nursing role, you'll deliver evidence-based care, build trusted relationships and support positive health outcomes through early intervention, education and community-based services. This position involves travel across multiple sites within the South Burnett region, offering variety, connection and meaningful community impact.
What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse - Child and Family Health, you'll play an important role in supporting children and families to achieve the best possible start in life. From delivering holistic care and early intervention support to working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to healthier communities and positive lifelong outcomes.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Providing advanced assessment, care planning and support that strengthens the health, wellbeing and development of children and families.
- Building trusted partnerships with families, carers and health professionals to coordinate seamless, person-centred care.
- Leading health promotion and education initiatives that empower families to make informed decisions and achieve positive outcomes.
- Supporting quality improvement, mentoring colleagues and contributing to a culture of safe, contemporary and evidence-based practice.

You're a registered nurse who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You build meaningful connections with families,
communicate confidently and remain calm when navigating complex situations. You take pride in helping children and families achieve better outcomes, knowing your work can have a lasting impact on their health and wellbeing. Guided by compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, you bring a positive and collaborative approach to everything you do.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and a postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, care coordination and case management skills within child and family health practice.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and supporting the development of others.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have additional postgraduate study relevant to clinical practice and/or immunisation qualifications or experience.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and ready to make a meaningful difference through regional healthcare.
