About the Company

Our client is a highly successful operational business that has gone from strength to strength. With rapid expansion and continued success, they have a newly created role for a Financial Accountant to be accountable for technical accounting and reporting.

With a mandate to raise the bar on their audited accounts, you will work closely with the Head of Reporting & external consultants to support a Tier 1 reporting framework.

About the Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will support a very proactive and experienced Head of Reporting to rebuild and enhance existing monthly reports, take charge of disclosures, internal controls and other statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Playing a key role in month end process including finalising financial results, completing balance sheet reconciliations and providing other management account information as requested.
- Assist in the preparation of management and statutory reporting for a large number of group and managed entities in both Australia and New Zealand.




- Supporting the process of completing financial statements and providing information for statutory audits.
- Audit coordination including preparing year end work papers and providing information to external auditors
- Regular interaction with other business teams to ensure an ethos for best practice and robust financial management is spread across the group
- Working on a variety of various business improvement projects to both improve financial control and process, and to reduce risk across the group. Involvement will be end to end and will include being involved in all stages, from planning to project close, from a financial perspective

About You:

You will be CA/ CPA qualified, have had experience in a Big 4/ Mid-Tier firm, good understanding of complex accounting standards and have proven stakeholder engagement skills. Advanced Excel and systems understanding.
