Impex Group is an established Perth facilities and building management company specialising in premium residential and mixed‑use developments.

We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to join our residential portfolio and managing a premium residential apartment development in Perth.

This is a hands‑on operational management role suited to someone who can confidently manage a complex building, contractors, planned and reactive maintenance, resident matters and multiple concurrent projects while maintaining transparent communication with Strata Management, Council and Impex management.

You will be supported by Impex's Operations and management team and established contractor network.

The role

You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation and presentation of the building, including:

managing planned and reactive building maintenance;

coordinating contractors, access, quotations and works onsite;

conducting regular building inspections and identifying maintenance, safety and compliance issues;

maintaining accurate records, work orders and follow‑ups through building management systems;

managing building access, security and operational incidents;

coordinating shutdowns and complex contractor works;

obtaining and comparing quotations and preparing clear recommendations for management and Council;

monitoring contractor performance and completion of works;

maintaining professional communication with residents, owners, Strata Management and Council;

assisting with budgets, planned maintenance and capital works;

maintaining accurate handover, maintenance and asset information; and

responding appropriately to genuine building emergencies and after‑hours incidents when required.





About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, calm, technically capable and commercially aware .

You will ideally have:

previous building, facilities or property management experience in a large residential, commercial or mixed‑use environment;

strong contractor and maintenance management experience;

the ability to understand building services including hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, fire, access‑control and other essential systems;

excellent written communication and reporting skills;

confidence dealing professionally with Strata Managers, Councils, residents and contractors;

strong computer literacy and experience with building or facilities management systems;

the ability to prioritise multiple live issues without losing follow‑up or documentation;

sound judgement about when matters can be handled operationally and when they require escalation or approval; and

a practical, solutions‑focused approach.

A trade, engineering, facilities, or technical property background would be highly regarded.
