Duckies makes first-walker shoes for little feet. We started on the Gold Coast and now ship to families across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe. The UK has just become our biggest market, and France is next.

We've grown fast with a tiny team. We're now building a proper marketing function with three specialist roles, and this is the one that lives in the numbers.

The role

You'll own paid performance and conversion for Duckies, from the first impression through to the repeat order. The ad accounts are yours: you build in them, read them and make the calls. The funnel is yours too: if people are clicking and not buying, you find out why and fix it.

You won't make creative. Our Content Strategist does that. Your job is to tell them, every week, what's working, what isn't and why.

What you'll do

Paid channels

Run Meta, Google and TikTok day to day: structure, budgets, testing and scaling across four markets

Own tracking and data quality: pixels, Conversions API, consent, and making sure platform numbers reconcile with Shopify

Own the product feeds: Merchant Center, Meta and TikTok catalogues, feed attributes and schema

Manage to MER and new-customer cost, not platform ROAS

Conversion and the full funnel

Own the whole funnel: ad click, landing page, product page, add to cart, checkout, purchase and repeat purchase

Know the rate at every step, by device and by market, and spot the leak before anyone asks

Run a proper testing program on site: landing pages, product pages, cart and checkout,



with a hypothesis and a result for each test

Use heat maps, session recordings and Shopify analytics to find out why people drop off, then make or brief the fix

Lift average order value and repeat purchase as well as conversion rate

Reporting

Report weekly on creative performance (thumb stop, watch time, add to cart, cost per purchase) with explicit direction for what to make next

Be the person the business turns to for what the data says and what to do about it

What you'll bring

3+ years hands‑on in Meta, Google and TikTok ad accounts for a D2C ecommerce brand, building and optimising campaigns yourself

A track record in conversion rate optimisation: tests you ran yourself, with numbers

A full‑funnel view: you can explain how a change at the top affects checkout, and you know your conversion rate, add‑to‑cart rate, checkout completion, AOV and new‑customer cost off the top of your head

Real Shopify experience: you know your way around the admin, the analytics and the apps that connect it to your ad platforms

Comfort with unit economics: what we can afford to pay for a customer, and why

Depth in Google Shopping, Performance Max, Merchant Center and product feeds

Bonus skills we'd love

ChatGPT and AI marketing: experience with ChatGPT ads, or with getting a brand recommended in AI search results

Multi‑market or multi‑currency accounts

Probably not for you if

Your experience is mostly lead generation, bookings or managing people who run the accounts

You'd rather set strategy than be in the account every day
