Unify Disability Services
Melbourne
Unify Disability Services (UDS) is an NDIS-registered, multi-disciplinary disability and allied health provider. We started in Coolaroo and now have teams across Melbourne and Queensland, with occupational therapy, psychology, positive behaviour support and other allied health working side by side. We focus on the ability in disability. Our motto is "It starts with you", and we mean it for our participants and for our team.
The role
We're looking for a full time Senior Occupational Therapist to lead our OT service from Sunshine West. Reporting to our Clinical Director, you'll manage and clinically supervise our OT team.
This isn't a "senior clinician with a bigger caseload" role. We want someone who will set the clinical standard for our OTs (supervision, quality, good decision making) and who also wants a hand in the business side: building the OT service line, growing referral relationships, helping the team grow and having a real voice in how we run things.
If you're a robust OT who has started thinking about how a service runs, not just how a session runs, we'd love to talk.
What you'll do
Clinical leadership
- Manage and clinically supervise our OTs, including early career clinicians
- Carry a clinical caseload across functional assessments, therapy and NDIS reporting
- Lead quality across the OT team: report review, clinical standards, documentation and NDIS practice requirements
- Work closely with our psychology and PBS teams so participants get joined-up support
Operational and service growth
- Help build and shape the OT service line, including where we grow and what we offer
- Build and look after referral relationships with support coordinators, plan managers, schools, families and community partners
- Help with OT recruitment, onboarding and team development as the team grows
- Keep an eye on waitlists, capacity and turnaround times, and suggest practical improvements
- Contribute to business decisions with management, bringing the clinical view to the table
About you
- Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA (general registration)
- 5+ years of OT experience, including solid NDIS experience
- Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians
- Confident clinical judgement and high quality report writing
- Interest in the operational side: growth, referrals, team building and how decisions get made
- Good communicator with participants, families and external partners
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain) and a current driver's licence
What we offer
- $110,000 to $130,000 base + super + bonuses
- Car allowance or access to a company fleet car
- Full time, with hybrid work
- A senior role reporting to the Clinical Director, with real input into how the OT service grows
- Support from a multi-disciplinary team (OT, psychology, PBS and other allied health)
- We run on Endy, a leading allied health practice management system
