Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.
We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.
About the Role
The Marine Support Crew plays a critical role in ensuring Ocius' fleet of Bluebottle USVs are mission-ready and operational. By performing maintenance, pre and post-mission checks, and managing launch and recovery, this team enables the reliable deployment of USVs for persistent ocean monitoring and communications.
The Operations function is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the design of Ocius assets, particularly in our on-water operations, maintenance and training of both internal staff and external customers.
A typical day as an MSC could include:
- Carrying out deep level fault finding and technical resolutions
- Leveraging technical support and specifications to
- Carrying out routine and preventive yard-based maintenance.
Selection Criteria
- Experience working in a marine maintenance role, boatyardor servicing USVs
- Experience wiring,servicingand replacing marine electronics
- Comfortable driving a manual vehicle and towing large, dual axle trailers
- Prior experience troubleshooting electronic systems, including reading schematics and diagrams
- Comfortable with basic mechanical servicing, including hydraulic and fuel systems
- Experience using diagnostic software and ERP/maintenance systems
- Valid Drivers License
- AMSA NC1 or higher is advantageous
