Raw Metal Corp is a privately owned Australian business with a strong reputation in the scrap metal recycling industry. We collect and process scrap metal for recycling into current products, servicing customers across Queensland, including mine sites throughout the Mackay and The Bowen Basin Coal Mines.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused and hands-on Mine Site Supervisor / All Rounder to join our Mackay team.

This is a varied role for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day mine site operations while also being willing to get involved in the work. You will supervise onsite staff, coordinate transport and logistics, manage safety requirements, assist with maintenance and breakdowns, operate machinery and support recycling activities. You will work across various mine sites as well as our Paget yard when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate employees onsite
- Conduct and participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Ensure required safety documentation is completed, including JSAs, Take 5s and SWMS
- Complete machinery pre-start inspections
- Coordinate and escort transport entering and leaving mine sites
- Organise transport movements and destinations
- Ensure compliance with site, safety and fatigue management requirements
- Coordinate maintenance requirements,



breakdowns and onsite problem-solving
- Provide daily operational reporting to management
- Assist with recycling operations, including planning and cutting large metal materials
- Operate machinery as required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site cleanliness

What You'll Need

- Current Standard 11 Certificate
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current S1, S2 & S3 certifications
- Strong understanding of WHS and safe work practices
- Experience coordinating transport and logistics
- Machinery operating experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work across various mine sites and our Paget yard

About You

We're looking for someone practical and proactive who is comfortable taking responsibility for the job. You'll need to be able to supervise people, communicate with management and transport operators, keep on top of safety requirements and still be willing to jump on machinery or assist with operational work when needed.
