Looking for a dental management role with genuine work-life balance, and a long weekend every second week?
Join our friendly, established specialist paediatric dental practice in Bondi Junction, where giving children and their families a positive experience is at the heart of everything we do. We are a close-knit team of three specialist paediatric dentists, an oral health therapist, two dental assistants and a dental receptionist, working across two surgeries.
This is more than a reception role. We are looking for an experienced, organised and confident Practice Manager / Receptionist to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the practice, while working on the front desk alongside our dental receptionist.
The Opportunity
- Permanent role on a 9-day fortnight, with every second Friday off
- 8:30am to 5:30pm on working days, with a one-hour lunch break (averaging 36 hours per week)
- A key leadership role in a supportive specialist practice
- A thorough handover and training from our Practice Manager of 10 years
- Start date: early to mid November 2026
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running the front desk with our dental receptionist, including appointments and treatment coordination
- Managing referrals and correspondence with referring dentists and specialists
- Staff rostering, timesheets,
training and development, and delegating and monitoring work
- Processing accounts, health fund claims, banking, monthly statements and daily reconciliations
- Maintaining practice statistics, financial records and reports, and liaising with our accountant
- Managing invoices and liaising with external suppliers
- Allocating staff, space and equipment
- Supporting infection control procedures and training, and ensuring WHS compliance
- Liaising with dental professionals and external providers to resolve issues and keep the practice running smoothly
About You
- Solid experience in dental reception and practice management
- Confidence with accounts, reconciliations and practice administration
- Strong leadership, communication and people skills
- Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
- A warm, professional manner with children and their families
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience with Dental 4 Windows highly regarded
- Experience with health fund claiming and the Child Dental Perks Schedule (CDBS) highly regarded
- The right to work in Australia
