International Talent Sourcing Specialist

Build international talent pipelines and help bring skilled professionals to Australia.

Geosurv is continuing to grow, and with that growth comes a challenge: finding enough genuinely capable people in some of Australia's hardest-to-fill technical disciplines.

We are looking for an experienced recruiter or talent sourcer to help us solve it.

This is a newly created position within our internal People & Culture team, focused primarily on identifying skilled professionals internationally and developing talent pipelines for Geosurv's future workforce.

You do not need to be a migration expert.

We are looking for someone who knows how to find people, start conversations, assess talent and build relationships. We will support you with the sponsorship and migration side.

What you will be doing

Your primary focus will be international sourcing.

You'll research international talent markets, identify where suitable candidates can be found and proactively engage professionals who may be interested in relocating to Australia. A significant initial focus will be skilled surveying and geospatial professionals.

You Will:

- Proactively identify and approach international candidates.
- Research new countries, platforms, networks and sourcing channels.
- Conduct candidate screening and assess initial suitability.
- Build relationships with candidates who may be months away from relocating.
- Develop genuine international talent pools for future vacancies.
- Coordinate interviews with our operational leaders.
- Work with our P&C; team through the sponsorship and relocation process.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and talent pools within Employment Hero.
- Support our Australian Talent Acquisition team with sourcing and recruitment when required.

Why is the role different?

This is not a traditional internal recruitment position where you post an advertisement and wait for applications.

We want someone who enjoys figuring out where the talent is and how to reach it .





It is investigative, relationship-driven recruitment.

Who we are looking for

You will ideally have previous agency or internal recruitment experience and be confident proactively sourcing candidates.

You do not necessarily need experience recruiting internationally.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who:

- Knows how to find candidates rather than simply process applicants.
- Is comfortable approaching and speaking with people every day.
- Builds genuine relationships with candidates.
- Is naturally curious and resourceful.
- Has strong attention to detail.
- Keeps excellent recruitment notes and candidate records.
- Can manage multiple conversations and follow-ups without losing momentum.
- Enjoys working in a rapid-moving and growing business.
- Wants to develop their recruitment career rather than simply move into another recruitment desk.

Experience recruiting within construction, engineering, infrastructure, surveying, utilities or technical trades would be advantageous.

Where can it lead?

You will work alongside our internal Talent Acquisition team and People & Culture Manager, with exposure to recruitment across both our Geospatial and Utilities businesses.

While your initial focus will be international sourcing, you will also support Australian recruitment and progressively develop broader internal Talent Acquisition capability.

For the right person, there is a genuine pathway to grow into a broader Talent Acquisition Specialist position as the business continues to expand.
