We are seeking high-calibre APS5, APS6 and EL1 Policy Officers for several labour hire contract opportunities within a Federal Government agency. About the roles
These positions sit within a high-performing policy area responsible for driving national reforms across transport and regulatory frameworks. Working closely with government, industry and community stakeholders, you will contribute to policy development and implementation on a range of complex and emerging issues.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across priority projects and strategic policy initiatives, contributing advice that informs executive and government decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Depending on your level and experience, duties may include:
- Conducting research and analysis on complex policy issues
- Preparing high-quality briefing materials, reports, submissions and correspondence
- Developing policy options and recommendations
- Supporting project planning, coordination and delivery
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders across government and industry
- Contributing to executive and ministerial advice,
including Cabinet and policy submissions
- Analysing data and presenting findings through clear and persuasive communication products

Highly regarded experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Commonwealth and State/Territory relations
- Intergovernmental policy reform
- Regulatory policy or legislative reform
- Program delivery and implementation
- Transport, infrastructure, freight, supply chain or regulatory environments
- Working within government agencies, regulators or similar complex policy settings
