Eileen O’Connor Catholic School(EOCS) provides quality education for students with a disability from kindergarten to Year 6 anetwork of Support Classesin local parish schools facilitating the transition between base school and support classes and local parish school enrolment. Eileen O’Connor School in Pennant Hills is seeking a Permanent Full‑Time Classroom Teacher to commence on Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the school community to deliver high‑quality learning experiences and provide meaningful support to students in a specialised educational setting.

Specific Criteria

Supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the Diocese of Broken Bay

A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety

Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner

Current knowledge of The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education

Knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), its processes and obligation to schools

Ability to develop, implement, assess, and monitor the individual plans for each student in the support class, including behaviour and personal care support plans.

Collaborate with CSBB teachers, Learning Partners and external health and wellbeing service providers to ensure students are engaged in learning with successful outcomes.





Facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive behaviour for learning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Committed to supporting student and staff wellbeing.

Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.

Qualifications and Accreditations

Practising Catholic and/or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context

Relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards an initial teacher education program in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement

NESA accredited as Proficient or working towards Proficient accreditation

Accredited to be a teacher of Religious Education or in the process of completing RE accreditation (applicable for Primary teachers)

Valid Working with Children Check
