The River Deck is looking for a chef to join our experienced kitchen team.

We’re open to different levels of experience – from a newly qualified chef, through to a qualified and experienced chef looking for a great role with a better lifestyle.

Located in one of Albury’s most beautiful spots, right on the Murray River in Noreuil Park, The River Deck is a busy and well-established restaurant known for quality food, outstanding produce and a strong local following.

This is a kitchen role that offers something a little different from the usual hospitality schedule:

- Predominantly day shifts – our regular trading hours are 9am–3pm, seven days a week

- Only occasional evening work for functions and events

- Rotating Sundays off





- Work alongside an experienced and supportive kitchen team

Who we're looking for

We’re flexible on experience and would love to hear from:

Newly Qualified Chefs – Looking for the next step, this is a great opportunity to build your confidence and experience.

Commis Chefs / Chef de Parties / Qualified Chefs – if you have experience behind you but want a role with quality food, a good team and predominantly daytime hours, we’d love to hear from you too.

You don't need to tick every box. We're more interested in your attitude, reliability and how you work within a team.

You’ll be someone who:

- Cares about food and takes pride in what you cook

- Has good attention to detail

- Works well in a busy kitchen

- Is reliable, brings a good attitude and banter

- Wants to continue learning and improving

- Enjoys contributing ideas rather than simply following the same menu year after year
