What's on the menu for you?

As a Catering Assistant, you'll be an important part of our kitchen and dining team, helping make every mealtime a positive experience.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the preparation, plating and presentation of delicious, nutritious meals and snacks.




- Serving meals and drinks to our residents with a friendly smile.
- Helping create a welcoming, enjoyable dining experience.
- Supporting our Chef Manager, cooks and wider catering team.
- Ensuring individual dietary needs, preferences and special meal requirements are followed.
- Keeping our kitchen, dining areas and equipment clean, safe and organised.
- Assisting with dishwashing, cleaning, stock handling and general kitchen duties.
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Getting to know our residents and helping make mealtimes something they look forward to!

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for people who bring a positive attitude to work and enjoy being part of a busy, friendly team.

You'll ideally have:

- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food services or aged care (desirable).
- An understanding of food safety and safe food handling practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- A friendly, caring and respectful approach to working with older people.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A reliable, hardworking attitude and pride in your work.

No formal commercial cookery qualification is required!

While previous catering experience is an advantage, we're also interested in hearing from people with the right attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.

Successful applicants will need to meet relevant aged care employment, screening, training and food safety requirements.
