About the Role
As a Hook Truck Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating hook lift bin trucks to deliver, collect and relocate bins across demolition, construction and industrial sites.
- Safely loading, unloading and securing bins in accordance with site and transport requirements.
- Completing daily pre-start inspections,
identifying defects and maintaining vehicle presentation and compliance.
- Following daily run sheets, recording bin movements and accurately maintaining job number records.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, site personnel and customers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
- Assisting with general site duties as required while maintaining a safe, productive and qualified work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Current HR Driver's Licence (essential).
- Previous Hook Lift Truck experience , with a minimum of 12 months preferred.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual/synchromesh trucks highly regarded.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen .
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety .
- Experience working across demolition, waste management, construction or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify vehicle or equipment defects is advantageous.
