Heron Assist is seeking a talented experienced Migration Agent or a Recently Graduated Migration Agent and a Migration Assistant to join our team in Geelong, VIC. These are full-time positions offering an excellent opportunity for legal professionals looking to specialise in migration law or those early in their migration law career. You will work in a supportive environment where you can develop your expertise in immigration and migration matters whilst providing valuable assistance to clients navigating the complexities of Australian migration law. This role is based in Geelong and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives through expert migration guidance and support.
Key responsibilities
Advising clients on Australian migration law, visa options, and immigration procedures relevant to their circumstances
Preparing and lodging visa applications and associated documentation with the Department of Home Affairs
Conducting thorough case assessments and eligibility reviews for various visa categories
Maintaining accurate and detailed client files and case management records
Communicating with clients to explain migration processes, timelines, and requirements in clear and accessible language
Liaising with government agencies and other stakeholders on behalf of clients
Assisting with visa compliance matters and ongoing visa obligations
Providing support to senior migration agents on complex migration matters
Developing and maintaining knowledge of current migration legislation, policies, and procedural changes
