Scrub Scout – Private Hospital in Canberra Overview

MOR. Healthcare is seeking experienced and dedicated Scrub Scouts to join a reputable private hospital in Canberra. This is an excellent prospect for healthcare professionals who are ready to make an immediate impact in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities

- Preparing and maintaining the sterile field in the operating room.
- Assisting surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and available.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory of surgical supplies.
- Adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience as a Scrub Scout in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced and high-pressure environment.




- Flexibility to adapt to varying surgical schedules.

Day-to-Day

- Preparing the operating room for scheduled surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are ready.
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Maintaining a sterile environment throughout the surgery.
- Conducting post-operative clean-up and preparing for the next procedure.
- Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
