We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie / Pizza Maker to join our kitchen team in Broken Hill.

This is a full-time position working across:

The Broken Hill Pub – gastro-style dining, quality pub food and functions

Broken Hill Pizza – quality pizza and casual dining

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing your kitchen section and working with the wider team to deliver consistent, high-quality food during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a high standard
- Pizza making, including dough preparation, toppings and oven management
- Preparing gastro-style and pub dishes using a range of cooking techniques
- Managing your section, ingredients, equipment and preparation requirements
- Maintaining food quality, presentation and portion control
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Stock rotation and monitoring ingredient requirements
- Working efficiently and calmly during busy services
- Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff where required
- Assisting with menu development and other kitchen projects
- Contributing to a positive, professional and team-focused kitchen environment

About You

The successful applicant will have:

- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar senior kitchen role
- Solid gastro/pub dining experience
- Proven pizza-making experience – essential




- Ideally 3–5 years' experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Skilled presentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards
- A reliable, positive and professional attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Leadership and mentoring skills are highly desirable.
