This role is due to commence from 1 February 2027.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinic Administration Officer to join our Department of Psychological Sciences within the School of Health Sciences to provide administrative support to the Swinburne Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults.

The clinic provides counselling and group services to aged care residents, residential care staff and families of residents across Australia. The clinic operates nationally and is Australia’s largest university-based mental health service for older adults living in residential care.

As the Clinic Administration Officer, you will support the activities of the clinic and be passionate about working with older adults, aged care staff and families, and making a difference within the aged care sector. We are seeking a professional with strong coordination and planning skills, who has the confidence to take initiative and follow through with tasks; clear communication with clients, referrers and team members; strong attention to detail and a confident approach to design principles and social media engagement. You will be expected to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to fulfil project objectives.

About You

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise activities, manage competing priorities as well as respond to ad hoc and time critical requests while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience with front desk duties (e.g., reception tasks).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues.
- High standard of professionalism, autonomy and initiative.




- Highly proficient computer skills, in particular MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience in promoting events/services via social media (e.g. LinkedIn or similar).
- Experience working in the aged care system is preferred.

Qualifications

- Extensive relevant administration experience; and or completion of a bachelor’s degree.
