Burwood | $50-$65 per hour + super | 38-hour week | Onsite parking | Established 26-GP practice
You know how to run a outstanding medical practice. Now you're ready to help shape what one becomes next.
If the opportunity to join a growing medical group, have a genuine voice in its future and grow your own career along with it appeals to you, this could be exactly the role you've been looking for.
We are a large, well-established general practice in Burwood, with 26 GPs, onsite pathology and X-ray , and we are entering an exciting period of growth and development.
You’ll bring together strong people leadership, excellent practice management and sound business thinking not only ensuring the practice runs exceptionally well, but looking ahead to where it can improve, develop and grow.
But this role is about more than managing the day-to-day.
We are looking for someone who can step back, look at our practice as a whole and see where it can improve, where it can grow and what could be done differently.
You’ll be comfortable with the business side of practice management - understanding performance, monitoring the right areas, identifying opportunities and bringing thoughtful recommendations to the owners.
Just as importantly, you’ll be a strong people leader who knows how to empower staff, build capability and maintain the warm, collaborative environment that is already an important part of the practice.
The goal is not to make our practice more corporate. It's to make an already successful practice even better - while holding onto the culture and relationships that make it a great place to work.
Why you'll enjoy this role
Have a genuine influence on what comes next - work closely with us to identify opportunities, bring forward ideas and help shape the future direction of the practice.
Lead a substantial established practice - 26 GPs, onsite pathology and X-ray provide the scale and scope for an experienced Practice Manager ready for their next challenge.
Build, not just maintain - help us strengthen systems, improve performance and continue developing the practice.
Bring your business thinking to the table - use financial and operational information to support good decisions and identify opportunities.
Develop and empower your team - build capability, strengthen leadership within the team and create clear accountability.
Enjoy the practical benefits - $50-$65 per hour + super, a 38-hour week and onsite parking.
Grow with us as our broader medical group continues to develop, there will be genuine opportunity for your own role and career to develop too
About the role
As Practice Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of the practice, working closely with our owners across people, operations, financial performance, accreditation, compliance and business development.
A key part of the role will be looking beyond what needs to happen today. You'll be encouraged to identify opportunities for growth and improvement and work with our owners to turn those opportunities into practical plans and action.
You'll take the time to understand the practice, its performance and where the opportunities lie, bringing fresh thinking and well-considered ideas to the owners about how the practice can continue to develop and grow.
You'll have the scope to bring ideas forward and play an active role in building the practice for the future.
