We are seeking an experienced Cook to join the dynamic kitchen team at Inya Food pty ltd in Terrigal. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This role is based in Terrigal, NSW 2260 and offers the chance to work with a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards

Maintaining high levels of food hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen at all times

Managing food preparation stations and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and cleaned

Working efficiently during peak service times to meet guest orders promptly

Assisting with menu development and suggesting creative dishes that align with our culinary vision

Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as required

Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes

Managing food inventory and liaising with management regarding stock requirements

Following all health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures and workplace safety protocols

What we're looking for

A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment

Proven experience as a Cook in a busy hospitality establishment, ideally with exposure to diverse cuisines

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and preparation techniques





Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure during service

A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality dishes

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a kitchen team whilst also taking initiative independently

Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation

Physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of kitchen work

Knowledge of relevant food handling and safety certifications is highly desirable

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
