We're looking for a compassionate, reliable and emotionally mature workers who can provide person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented support while maintaining professional boundaries and promoting the participant's rights, choice, dignity and independence.

Day to day, this may include:

- Providing one-to-one support in the participant's home and community
- Supporting personal care, daily routines, appointments, and household tasks
- Assisting with community access, social participation and employment goals
- Providing reassurance and emotional support during periods of distress
- Supporting medication prompts and health routines (adjust to scope)
- Following individualised support and behaviour support plans
- Identifying and appropriately responding to changes in presentation
- Building positive, respectful relationships with the participant, their family and their support team
- Completing shift notes, progress notes and incident documentation

About you

- 1+ years' experience in disability support, aged care or community services
- Relevant experience supporting participants with complex mental health and psychosocial support needs
- Strong documentation, reporting and incident-management skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor newer team members

Essential requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Blue Card, or willingness to obtain them
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2) and a reliable vehicle
- Rights to work in Australia
- Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster, including a minimum of two sleepover shifts per fortnight. Common roster: 8am – 4pm, 4pm – 8am (sleepover 10pm – 6am)
